Thanks to site visitor, Darion, I’ve added 2 sets of candids of Brett in March 10th at Tampa, Florida, where they did a FCW taping I believe and March 25th at Miami, Florida, at the Expo Fair where Brett compete in a fatal four way match between generations superstar and won the match-up. Source: Xavier Woods vs Brett DiBiase w/ Aksana
They lock up to a stalemate. They lock up again and Woods backs DiBiase into the ropes and Brett with a push and Woods responds with a push of his own. Then they exchange slaps and Woods works on the arm and he slaps Brett in the back of the head. Brett punches Woods but Woods with a shoulder tackle for a near fall. Woods with an uppercut but he misses a clothesline. He doesn’t miss a punch and Woods gets a near fall.

Woods with an uppercut followed by an Irish whip. Woods does not run into the corner so when Brett floats over, it really doesn’t accomplish anything. Woods with another slap to DiBiase and then he chops Brett. Brett with an elbow and a kick that has Woods hanging from the ring by his feet and then Brett hits a slingshot elbow drop and Woods falls to the floor.

Brett with a near fall when the action returns to the ring. Brett kicks Woods and then he punches Woods and kicks him in the corner. Brett with a hard Irish whip followed by a snap mare and reverse chin lock. Woods with punches but Brett with a forearm. Brett with a power slam and he gets a near fall. Brett with punches to the head and the referee warns him. Brett hot shots Woods and then he hits the DiBiase fist drop three times and gets a near fall. Brett with a reverse chin lock on Woods.

Woods with a jaw breaker but Brett with a punch. Woods holds on to the ropes when Brett tries for a drop kick. Brett runs into the corner but Woods sends him back into the center of the ring. Woods with a series of punches followed by a head scissors take down. Woods with a swinging neck breaker and then Woods sets for the somersault clothesline and he hits it. Woods goes to the turnbuckles but Brett moves out of the way. Brett with a kick and then he tries for a suplex but Woods gets to his feet. Woods with a rollup but Brett rolls through and grabs the tights to get the three count.

Source: We see a shot from outside the building while Maxine is in the ring to introduce our new FCW Champion, Lucky Cannon. Cannon emerges from the vehicle with Aksana and Brett DiBiase. There are people taking his photo as he enters the building.

Norman Smiley and AJ Lee are also in the ring as Lucky and his entourage walk past all of the FCW wrestlers. The Lucky Cannon Banner is in the ring as Lucky makes his way into the balloon adorned ring.

Maxine says that we have a new champion and the banner behind them is of the old Lucky Cannon. She has a specially ordered banner just for him. She says that the banner will be here soon. Maxine says that there is no banner like the one that Lucky will get. She says that it will be extra special and it is well deserved.

From out of nowhere, Bo Rotundo spears Cannon into the banner. Bo goes after Brett DiBiase and then the ring fills up with FCW Superstars. Maxine demands that everyone stop what they are doing. The brawl continues and there is pandemonium outside the ring while Maxine screams.

Maxine tells someone that she wants Bo out of here. Bo is finally taken to the back while Maxine pulls her Joe Schmo impression out of mothballs wondering what is going on. Bo is able to break free of FCW security and the brawling continues. Read the rest of this entry →

Source: Brett DiBiase defeated Bo Rotunda, Husky Harris, and Michael McGillicutty in a four-way. DiBiase got the win, but Bo was the hotter face.

Source: Before the match starts, Maxine tells Norman that he is not the referee of this match. Maxine says that she has a new referee for this match. In comes Brett DiBiase who takes the belt from Bo and calls for the bell.

Bo Rotundo vs Lucky Cannon for the FCW Title w/ Guest Referee Brett DiBiase
Cannon attacks Rotundo from behind and Rotundo hits a spear but Brett does not make the count. Brett checks the crease on his pants and stretches in the ropes. Bo wants to know what is going on. Brett warns Bo that he is the referee and Cannon hits Bo from behind. Cannon with a short arm clothesline or two and then Cannon gets Bo up for the Lucky Strike but Bo escapes. Cannon with a kick to Bo and then Cannon is sent to the floor. Cannon with a shoulder from the apron followed by a sunset flip and Bo holds on to the ropes but Brett kicks the arms and makes a fast three count.

Winner: Lucky Cannon

After the match, Cannon with a kick to Rotundo’s head. Maxine comes into the ring and she kisses Lucky. Meanwhile at the announce table, Matt Martlaro is outraged while Byron Saxton is loving what is going on in the ring.

Source: World Wrestling Entertainment debuted the fifth season of WWE NXT last night on their website with the theme of “Redemption” featuring former cast members who were getting a second chance at winning.

That concept was not the original plan for the new season of NXT as WWE cameras filmed interviews with a number of developmental talents over the last several weeks for introductory packages that would have been used to give backgrounds on the different competitors.

Within the last week, the decision was made to hold those new talents off and instead go with the “Redemption” theme. The company felt this season was going to end up overlooked since they were launching Tough Enough on The USA Network around the same time. Obviously, Tough Enough is obviously a much bigger priority since its being produced for their most important television partner, USA.

So, basically, WWE decided that they didn’t want to compete with themselves when it came to introducing new personas and characters with two very similar television outings.

Many of the names originally planned for Season 5 will instead be used for Season Six down the line, although creative decisions could cause that list to change over time as well.

“Growing up I knew the Usos [Rikishi Fatu’s sons] and Brett DiBiase [Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase’s son] and Joe Hennig [Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig’s son],” he said. “A lot of those guys I would see them around the buildings at shows, and we would try touch the forklifts and get into trouble like that, being kids.”
