Source: The FCW Gauntlet Five – Bo Rotundo vs Brett DiBiase
Brett comes into the ring and he kicks Bo in the ribs. Brett with a slam followed by elbow drops and Brett hits a series of them over a fifteen second period. Brett kicks Bo in the back and then he chokes Bo on the turnbuckle. Brett with a standing drop kick to Bo. Brett slaps Bo and then he punches Bo, sending him to the mat. Brett yells at Bo as time runs out. DiBiase becomes a lumberjack.

Bo Rotundo vs Lucky Cannon
Lucky acts a little too cocky and that allows Bo to get to his feet and he hits a spear as the bell ring. Brett DiBiase interferes and he gets a spear. Maxine checks on Lucky while Jinder and Bobby stand on the floor and pace in unison. Bo gets to his feet first and he sees Maxine in the ring. Buck Dixon gets in the way and Maxine is able to get out of the ring. Buck makes the first move but Bo hits the final one and he spears Buck.

Damien Sandow, Jinder Mahal, Bobby Dutch, and the rest of the heels attack Bo as the referee calls for the bell.

Winner: Bo Rotundo by disqualification

The faces make their way to the ring and there is pandemonium in the ring while Lucky watches this unfold.

Source: We are back and Maxine is in her office with Brett DiBiase and Lucky Cannon. She tells them that tonight is their night because they will get everything that they ever wanted and dreamt of. Maxine says that she did not forget about Brett. She asks Lucky and Brett if they want to be the new FCW Tag Team Champions. Lucky likes the thought of it. Lucky and Brett leave the office and after Maxine and Aksana talk for a few seconds, AJ enters the office and she is in a good mood.

Lucky Cannon & Brett DiBiase w/ Maxine & Aksana vs Seth Rollins & Richie Steamboat for the FCW Tag Team Titles
DiBiase and Steamboat start things off and Steamboat with a waist lock take down into a front face lock and DiBiase gets to the ropes and Steamboat releases the hold. DiBiase and Cannon hug it out on the apron before Brett returns to the ring to deal with Steamboat. They lock up and Steamboat with an arm drag into an arm bar.

Rollins tags in and he connects with a double sledge from the turnbuckles. Steamboat tags back in and hits a chop from the top turnbuckle. Rollins tags back in and he hits a double stomp to the arm. Rollins with a snap mare and a knee drop to the shoulder. Rollins sends DiBiase into the turnbuckles and follows it with a snap mare and kick to the back for a near fall.

DiBiase with a boot and punch and he is able to tag in Lucky and Cannon kicks Rollins followed by a snap mare and leg drop for a near fall. Cannon with a side head lock take down. Cannon with a few shoulder tackles but Rollins with a drop kick and he teases allowing Cannon going into his corner but then he tags Steamboat back in and Richie with a series of chops to Cannon.

Rollins tags in and he punches Cannon. They hit a double elbow followed by a series of kicks and Rollins gets a near fall. Lucky with a kick to Rollins’ knee and he tags DiBiase back in as we go to commercial. Read the rest of this entry →

Now this report can give you guys a for sure thought about Brett’s status in WWE. In the meanwhile, all I have to say is I hope that Brett will have a speedy recover from his injury and return to the ring sooner than later!

Source: Brett DiBiase was not actually released from FCW but is now under a referee deal as a result of a bad knee injury suffered last year. When it’s healed things will likely revert back to normal.

Source: Seth Rollins & Richie Steamboat vs Lucky Cannon & Brett DiBiase w/ Maxine & Aksana in a Non Title Match
Lucky and Seth start things off and they lock up with Lucky working on the arm but Rollins rolls through and reverses. Rollins adds more pressure and he puts Cannon in a hammer lock followed by a side head lock take down. Cannon tries to roll Seth up but Rollins gets off his back. Lucky gets to his feet and Rolins with a kick and snap mare followed by a kick to the back and Lucky goes to the floor. Lucky has options for who to embrace and he chooses Brett over Aksana.

Lucky returns to the ring and he tags in Brett. Brett says that he wants to face Steamboat and Rollins tags him in. They lock up and Steamboat works on the arm but Brett punches Richie. Steamboat with chops followed by an arm drag into an arm bar. Steamboat with a leg drop to the arm. Steamboat with a kick to the back and then a back kick to the head. Rollins tags in and we go to commercial after a snap mare by Rollins.

We are back Steamboat tags back in and they double team Cannon with a series of kicks and Steamboat gets a near fall. Steamboat with a front face lock and arm bar. Steamboat keeps Cannon in the center of the ring and continues to work on the arm. Lucky with an Irish whip but Steamboat floats over and connects with an arm drag into an arm bar. Cannon backs Steamboat into the corner and misses a punch but Steamboat does not miss with a chop and forearms.

Cannon with a double sledge to the back. Cannon puts Steamboat on the top turnbuckle and connects with a series of double sledges to the back and then he hits a hangman’s neck breaker for a near fall. Cannon sends Steamboat to the floor and the referee is distracted by Cannon and Rollins, allowing DiBiase to hit a neck breaker on the floor. They return to the ring and he gets a near fall.

Cannon with kicks to Steamboat and DiBiase tags in. Brett with kicks to Steamboat followed by a neck breaker. DiBiase with another neck breaker for another near fall. Brett punches Steamboat until the referee warns him. DiBiase with a reverse chin lock. Steamboat with a forearm but DiBiase with forearms of his own and he sends Steamboat into the turnbuckles. Source: We are back and before our main event, Lucky Cannon, Brett DiBiase, AJ Lee, Aksana, and Maxine come to ringside to watch the match.

After the match, Cannon and DiBiase try to interfere but Rollins and Steamboat with super kicks. AJ and Aksana come into the ring and then they realize that it is probably better to stay out of the ring. Rollins and Steamboat shake hands and we go to credits.

Source: Richie and Norman enter the office while Brett DiBiase and Lucky Cannon stand around. Maxine tells Richie that he is the new face of FCW. She tells him about his match against Seth Rollins in an FCW 15 Match. She needs him to be on his A Game. Richie says that he has been dreaming about this. Maxine tells him that if he does what she wants, she will return the favor.

Seth enters after Richie leaves. Maxine tells Lucky and Brett to leave. Maxine tells Seth that he is the new face of FCW. She tells him about his match against Richie Steamboat. She wants him on his A Game. She tells Seth that what he does for her will be returned to him.

Bo Rotundo vs Lucky Cannon in a Non Title Human Cage Match
Lucky avoids locking up with Bo by going into the ropes. They lock up and they go around the ring from corner to corner. Lucky goes to the apron and then he talks strategy with Brett DiBiase and then they hug it out. Lucky returns to the ring and he puts Bo in a waist lock and takes him down to the mat. Bo with an escape and he puts Lucky in a hammer lock.

Bo sends Lucky shoulder first into the turnbuckles as he starts to work on the arm. Lucky with forearms but Bo returns fire. Bo with an Irish whip but he charges into the corner and he gets knocked down as he hits Cannon. Bo goes to the floor but he is on the good side of town so they let him back in with no further battle.

Ever since the “confirmed” reports stating that Brett’s has been released seem to rock up the internet lately. Now, there’s a new update going on that Brett worked at last night’s event, but not as a performer, but as the role of the referee. This brings out a lot of scenarios here and here’s mine. Judging that Brett has been released from his development contact, which is correct, was only released due to his ACL injury on his knee. Maybe WWE has decided to let him stayed till he recover from it for the time being and let him recover his injury while playing the role as the referee. To me, I think this is good idea because it’s better to have you stay at WWE than rather being kicked out of it. Thanks to our brother site, Simply-Priceless.com, for pointing this for us, here is the alleged news about Brett working as a referee at a recent FCW live event as well more from various of wrestling news sites.

Source: It was reported yesterday that WWE developmental talent Brett DiBiase, the brother of SmackDown Superstar Ted DiBiase, had been released from his contract.

WrestlingNewsSource.com has since learned that DiBiase has, in fact, NOT been released, as he worked this week’s FCW show in the role of a referee.

As of this writing, DiBiase has not been added to the talent page of the FCW website.

Source: Earlier reports of developmental wrestler Brett DiBiase being released from his WWE developmental contract are erroneous as he worked two matches as a referee at this evening’s Florida Championship Wrestling live event in Tampa, Florida.

It was reported earlier this week that his profile was removed from the Florida Championship Wrestling website, which is often an indication that a talent has been released. Furthermore, several sources noted that the third generation wrestler was let go. We apologize for the earlier error and we have removed the earlier report.

Source: Despite previous erroneous reports on this site earlier today allegedly “confirming” Brett DiBiase’s release from the WWE, Brett worked two matches at this evening’s event as a referee. My report earlier in the week about DiBiase being removed from the FCW online roster was correct, and he still remains off the website.

With all the rumors speculating around the internet if Brett was released or not, we can confirm that Brett HAS been released of his development contract alongside with Jackson Andrew. Brett suffered a ACL on his left knee last year and was put to sidelines for about 7 months. WWE grew very impatient with Brett and his recover so they decided to release him for the time being. I have to say that I’m very sad to see a great talent go to waste like that but I do hope him for the best. Like I’ve said on twitter, the site will REMAIN open to support Brett wherever he goes!

Source: Jackson Andrews and Brett DiBiase (the brother of Ted DiBiase Jr.) were both removed from WWE’s Florida Championship Wrestling website. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has confirmed that DiBiase was released. DiBiase, who is 23, was scheduled to be brought up to the main roster until he blew out his knee. The original plan was to form a faction involving Brett, his brother Ted and Joe Hennig (Michael McGillicutty) called The Fortuante Sons, but was dropped before he could return to action.
